A Few Recent Examples

Here are a few recent examples of my digital art created on DMAS software. These were created this past summer before I returned to teaching. I seem to have developed an animal theme. I never start out with a specific image or idea in mind. Instead, I like to let the non-objective turn into abstraction. Suggestions of images turn into actual images from time to time in my work. I do not take these very seriously, really. They are just fun to do; occasionally, I like one or two of them.

First Time Here

For years now, I have been enjoying the 1999 paint software that I found in the bargain bin for a whole ten dollars, Disney's Magic Artist Studio. I am not a huge Disney fan (even though I did enjoy a family vacation there a summer ago -- $$$$$), but I am not holding it against this humble software. I like the layered look of magic markers with pastels and watercolors. The only bummer is the board and pen that came with the software will not work on my pc. I am stuck with the mouse -- hence, I mainly stick with abstract images. Fine detail work is too hard for me.

Next time I am here I will try to get some images up.
